my name is Anne

and I am a Berlin-based freelance creative video editor and director. I ideate concepts for audiovisual storytelling and / or work on their realization. My field of work covers content marketing videos, corporate films and portraits, but also journalistic forms and documentaries.

I have always been an inquiring observer, drawn to overlooked nuances and human stories. Sensitive by nature, I am a keen and careful listener, which helps my protagonists quickly feel at ease. An inner sense of calm helps me coordinate and motivate my team with composure and vision. I am driven by a strong belief that film can provide unique experiences that would not be possible without a camera eye and the corresponding stylistic components. Just ask Eadweard Muybridge.

I studied Media Studies (B.A. and M.A.) at the Bauhaus University Weimar, the Université Lumière Lyon II and the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia. For more than three years, I worked at the agency fischerAppelt play in Stuttgart and Berlin as a creative video editor and director. In 2017, I completed the extra-occupational certificate study program Documentary Filmmaking at the Bauhaus University Weimar. I live in Berlin, where I started freelancing in 2020.
